Human Resources Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY

The HR Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the HR department and the organization as a whole. This position is responsible for handling various administrative tasks related to human resources, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and contributing to the overall success of HR initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Post job openings on Indeed and the company website.
  • Communicate openings to the Employee Relations Specialist for the newsletter.
  • Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
  • Coordinate interview schedules and communicate with candidates and managers
  • Set up pre-employment drug screens
  • Assist with new employee orientation and onboarding processes.
  • Provide the Director of Operations with a weekly update
  • Create and maintain new hire files

Employee Relations:

  • Maintain employee records and HR databases.
  • Assist with the implementation ofHR policies and procedures.
  • Handle basic employee relations issues and escalate as necessary.

HR Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist with audits and reporting as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date on HR best practices and legal requirements.

HR Projects and Initiatives:

  • Support HR team with various projects and initiatives.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and practices.
  • Provides general administrative support to the HR team
  • Other tasks as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Must be extremely organized, accurate and detail-oriented
  • Must be able to prioritize and plan long and short-term goals
  • Must be able to communicate both written and orally
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work independently as well as with a team
  • Must have strong time management and problem-solving skills

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates Degree in Human Resources, Communications or Business Administration
  • Flighly computer literate, especially in Microsoft Office and the Google platform
  • 1-3 years working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented position
  • 1-3 years of HR experience
  • Working knowledge of the SyncHR platform or a similar HR system
