Two Actives for Quick, Effective Control
Dismiss NXT is formulated with sulfentrazone (31.77%) and carfentrazone-ethyl (3.53%), a combination of active ingredients that delivers visible results in 24 hours and provides long-term contact and residual control. In addition to yellow nutsedge and green kyllinga, Dismiss NXT is effective against a wide range of weeds, too, including clover, dandelion, and henbit.
How Dismiss NXT Works
Dismiss NXT is a liquid herbicide that is absorbed by weeds’ roots, shoots, and foliage. It specifically targets their tubers to eliminate them quickly. This is crucial for managing weeds like yellow nutsedge, which is known for being notoriously difficult to control. Additionally, there is no known resistance to Dismiss NXT, and it has shown efficacy against ALS-resistant sedge.
Application Guidelines
For best results, apply Dismiss NXT when soil temperatures (at a depth of two inches) exceed 65°F for seven consecutive days. Timing applications around these temperatures give the product the best opportunity to combat vegetative growth and aid in the decrease of tuber production.
The product will perform best when there is adequate soil moisture at application and no watering or rainfall occurs for 24 hours after applying. If a rain event does not take place 10 days after applying, irrigate at 0.5 inches or higher.
Dismiss NXT is safe for use on many cool- and warm-season grasses, including centipedegrass. Rates will vary based on the type of turf the product is used on. Cool-season grasses will tolerate between 0.117 to 0.234 ounces per thousand square feet, while warm-season grasses will tolerate between 0.234 and 0.35 fluid ounces per thousand square feet.
