When you’re applying liquid herbicides, every droplet matters, and using an adjuvant is the best way to make the most of a low-volume application. Aquatrols’ LV increases spray coverage, lowers pH, ties up bicarbonates, and helps herbicides and other products be rapidly absorbed and more active—all in the same cost-effective jug.

Purpose Built

LV Low Volume Spray Enhancer is designed solely to enhance the performance of solutions in low-volume sprayers. It can also be used in all conventional spray equipment. It features an incredibly low use rate of just one pint per 100 gallons on the low end, but delivers a lot of value. As a water conditioner, surfactant, and humectant, LV ensures that the water you use—no matter the quality—helps your solution instead of inhibiting it.

The Science Behind LV

The powerful water conditioner within LV blocks hard water cations. The calcium carbonate molecules within hard water can cause what’s known as hard water antagonism, which limits the amount of product available for plant uptake. By blocking those cations, LV protects the solution’s integrity and maximizes the amount of usable product. The conditioner also reduces the pH of the spray solution, since a high pH can negatively affect tank mix compatibility and break down chemicals.

LV contains a non-ionic surfactant that improves coverage. It lowers the contact angle of the spray droplets, allowing them to spread more evenly and cover a larger surface area, without beading up or rolling off the leaf surface. This improves the uptake of both foliar and root-absorbed herbicides. It also makes LV more effective than water alone, outperforming even traditional non-ionic surfactants during testing.

Compatibility With Low-Volume Sprayers

LV easily mixes with limited agitation, making it an ideal choice for equipment that operates at reduced spray volumes, like the ride-on spreader/sprayer equipment offered by Steel Green Manufacturing.

Application Rate

For the best results, LV should be applied at a rate of 0.125% to 0.5% volume per volume, or 16 to 64 fluid ounces per 100 gallons.

The right adjuvant can make all the difference, and LV will help a low-volume application perform like a high-volume one. To learn more about LV and how it can make a difference for you, reach out to your ATS rep.
